Fantasia 12 Days / 11 Nights

Day 1:

Arrival at the hotel on your own. A daily ticket for the Hop-on Hop-off tourist bus is at your disposal. Visit Rome aboard the Gray Line open-top Hop-on Hop-off buses (I Love Rome City Tour) and admire your favorite landmarks from a new perspective. Our panoramic open-top buses offer a spectacular view of the Eternal City’s most iconic monuments. Simply hop on board, relax, listen to the audio commentary, and hop on and off at any of the eight stops along the route. The bus ticket included in the package is valid for one day. The bus will make eight stops and provide onboard audio commentary in 12 languages. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Return to the hotel on your own and overnight stay.

Day 2:

Departure at 7:15 a.m. by deluxe motorcoach to Assisi. Arrival and free time to visit this small town surrounded by medieval walls. We suggest visiting the famous Basilica of St. Francis, housing masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue.
Free time for lunch (not included).
We continue north along the highway through the Italian peninsula to Siena, a majestic medieval city surrounded by massive walls, known for having one of the most beautiful squares in the world: Piazza del Campo, home of the “Palio delle Contrade.”
We then continue to Florence. Arrival, check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3:

Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour of this amazing city where the Italian genius is expressed in all its splendor and purity. The city center, together with the Bell Tower, Baptistery, and Cathedral, forms an extraordinary ensemble of white, green, and pink marble, reflecting the transition from medieval to Renaissance art. Visit the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, symbol of Florence’s wealth and power in the 13th and 14th centuries, featuring Brunelleschi’s Dome contrasting with the slender silhouette of Giotto’s Bell Tower. Admire the Baptistery, a Romanesque building known for its Bronze Doors, including the “Gates of Paradise” so named by Michelangelo.
Continue to Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and finally Santa Croce Church, opening onto one of Florence’s oldest squares. Lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant in Santa Croce Square.
Afternoon at leisure with the option of an optional excursion to Pisa, a small city rich in historical significance. External visit to the Piazza dei Miracoli with its Cathedral, Leaning Tower, and Baptistery. Overnight stay.

Day 4:

After breakfast in Florence, we depart for the elegant city of Bologna. On arrival, explore the charming historic center with its iconic arcades at your leisure. Begin your walk at Piazza Malpighi, leading to the heart of the city at Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore, where you'll find the historic Palazzo Podestà and San Petronio Basilica, the largest Gothic brick church in the world. Then, discover why Bologna is considered Italy’s gastronomic capital, as you explore its lively street food scene—as rich and varied as its culinary heritage. Wander through medieval streets filled with stalls and markets offering both traditional and contemporary delicacies. Enjoy a light street food lunch at a local spot selected for you, a unique chance to taste the authentic flavors of Bologna. In the afternoon, arrive in Venice (Mestre) and check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5:

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to St. Mark’s Square for a guided walking tour.
Visit the square and the Doge’s Palace, symbol of Venice’s power and glory, once the seat of the Doge, government, and justice. Cross the Bridge of Sighs, which connects to the Prison Palace where Casanova was once held. To end the tour, enjoy the famous Venetian aperitif, the “cicchetti” (Venetian tapas), paired with a spritz or prosecco (light lunch). Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6:

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by coach from Piazzale Roma to the iconic Val di Chiana wine region in Tuscany. A land of rolling hills, vineyards, Romanesque churches, and ancient towns.
Visit the historic town of Montepulciano, a beautiful medieval gem famous for its world-renowned “Nobile” red wine, available in the town’s cellars and shops. Enjoy breathtaking views and rich cultural heritage. Lunch at a traditional local restaurant is included. After lunch, free time before heading back to Rome in the afternoon. Arrival and end of services.

Day 7:

Breakfast at the hotel and morning guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Square. With our skip-the-line access, enter the Museums, home to one of the world’s most important art collections. Admire the Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries, Raphael Rooms, and finally the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Square, where you’ll see the exterior of the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8:

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning at 7:00 a.m., departure by coach heading south along the "Highway of the Sun," passing through the regions of Lazio and Campania. As you travel, marvel at the stunning landscapes of the Italian countryside and the breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast, where crystal-clear waters meet lemon tree-covered hills and charming villages. Upon arrival in Sorrento, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, you'll be enchanted by its vibrant streets, artisan ceramic workshops, and historic churches. After checking in at your hotel, enjoy the afternoon at leisure. For those seeking more adventure, an optional tour is available to explore the spectacular Amalfi Coast. In the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at the hotel (dress code recommended: jacket for gentlemen), followed by an overnight stay in Sorrento.

Day 9:

Stay in Sorrento on a half-board basis. Today, get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Discover the fascinating ancient city of Pompeii, a journey back in time to a civilization frozen by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. With our expert guide and skip-the-line access, enjoy a walking tour with a local licensed guide. You’ll be provided with personal headphones and a radio receiver, so you don’t miss a single detail as history comes to life.
Dinner and overnight stay in Sorrento.

Day 10:

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Sorrento’s port to board a ferry to the enchanting island of Capri, known for its rugged coastline, mild climate, and lush vegetation. On arrival, embark again at Marina Grande for a visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Free time for lunch (not included) and to explore Capri at your leisure or enjoy shopping.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11:

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning, then transfer to the port in the afternoon and ferry to Naples.
Continue by coach to Rome. Arrival and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel.
